Unlike most couples, Tim and I don't celebrate monthsaries. It's only once a year that we celebrate our um...togetherness haha. And getting through another November 25 signifies another year with this man.

By the way, this is a candid photo :)) Tim doesn't really like being taken photos of so I just use my 'ninja' skills to get good shots of him (like the one above *wink*). Unlike me, he is more reserved. He doesn't like too much attention, just mine is enough hihi. We actually have quite a number of differences. But our core - what fuels us, what inspires us to grow into the best versions of ourselves - that's what we have in common.

So much in common that I tried to match his shot earlier LOL kidding aside, we are both passionate with the arts. We are soothed by music and energized by food (although, he is a healthy eater while I'm a carnivore haha!). We believe in the power of genuine goodness. We see the beauty in the ordinary. And most importantly, we worship and love one God.

Wanting to stay away from the huge traffic and stress in the city, we drove to Antipolo. We went to Cafe Nueve to have some good food and relaxing view. The restaurant gives you a panoramic view of Metro Manila.

Of course, I won't let a special occassion pass without a show of cutesy surprises. Presenting the LOVE COUPONS <3 tadaaaa!!

I got this idea from my officemate, Denise, who did it for her boyfriend during their anniversary.
Thanks to her, the many pegs from Pinterest, and this blogpost:  http://www.iheartnaptime.net/printable-love-coupon-book/  - I survived and pulled it off yay!

And, the boyfriend's reaction, "why are you so sweet?" then pulled me closer to him and gave me one tight hug <3 Thank God, he has appreciation for these kind of things! My sweet nothings and 'ka-kornihan' has found its match.

I, purposely, didn't mention a lot of details about the place, the food, or even my DIY love coupons. I guess, for this post, I just wanted to highlight one of the major reasons why I'm happy despite all the challenges life has been giving me for the past year - this relationship that made me see the things the really matter, not the lavish material gifts but the gift of love, trust, and patience. Yung pang #forever haha :)

For all the love you've showered me with, the foodtrips and movie marathons, the karaoke sessions during long drives, the hugs and cheers that take away my stress, the korni jokes and weird dance moves you do to make me laugh, and the efforts to make sure I feel safe and secure, Thank You my love, time has flown by so quickly and another year has passed - another with you. Looking forward  to more celebrations!
