A few weeks back (after almost 7 years?!!) I've made the decision to go back to having black hair. And it turned out to be quite a nerve-wracking moment! Good thing I had my hair heroes at Junca Salon do it. I was confident that they'll be taking care of my hair.
A little throwback to June of last year, I had a hair colour disaster in which Junca Salon was there to the rescue: . From then on, I go to them whenever I do crazy decisions with my hair haha. The past few months has been a bleaching spree for me, and despite having naturally healthy-looking hair, it eventually gave up on me :( It still looked good in pictures (because I set it). But in reality, it was DAMAGED. I wanted to start over again with my hair, that's why I decided to go back to black.

I love going to Junca Salon for my hair treatments because they really pamper you <3 More importantly, there's hair consultation - briefing you about the advantages and disadvantages of the treatments you wish to do for your hair. They actually advised me to avoid salon-hopping (hihi) especially when doing hair colour treatments, as sometimes, other salons consider it virgin hair when they see black hair (without really asking if it had previous colouring/bleaching). It's important that you have one stylist who knows your hair colour history.

After they washed my hair, I was already seeing its 'black-ness' - which got me all excited and anxious! I think I forgot how I look like with black hair haha. Of course, the whole treatment wasn't finished yet. To make sure my hair stays healthy, they gave my hair amino treatment. It's basically for hair nourishment - making sure the nutrients seep through my hair. You see that iron-like equipment they used? It ain't hot iron for hair straightening! It's a cold iron that they use in order to open my hair follicles and lock the nourishment inside. The iron really is cold, I touched it! hehe.

After the treatment, they rinsed and blow-dried my hair, and I finally saw the result. It looked soooo good - no sign of damage and dryness! It's as if my hair was untouched :O

TADAAAH!!! healthy-looking and SUPER soft hair <3 Thank you to the girls at Junca Salon, especially to Ate Aileen who did the consultation, and gave tips on maintaining a healthy hair. Junca Salon always takes the extra mile in hair care. They gave me a hair care kit with 4 tubes of hair conditioning treatment to make sure my hair's taken care of :)

BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE (HAHA) so I've mentioned in the title that there's some twist - a little  surprise. After a week of having my hair black, I realised I can't stand having it all black (and no fun lol). And myself being so impatient, I went back to Junca and asked if it's possible to have some ombre on my hair hahahaha. Ate Aileen warned me that it'll go back to being dry, but I insisted lol. She told me bleaching/coloring should be spaced at LEAST two months apart. But I can't wait any longer, so told them I was ready to face the 'dryness' haha. AND THUS, THE TWIST...

And so, like always, my hair is saved. Thanks to my hair heroes at Junca Salon. Oh and for tolerating my crazy requests haha. Have you been planning to make that change with your hair? I highly suggest you go to Junca Salon. They are located at 58 Sgt. Esguerra Avenue, South Triangle, Quezon City.
